The Grafton children's club in February

With Mother's Day just around the corner, The Grafton children's club invite you to make bespoke shopping bags for your mums.

The original name for Mother's Day is Mothering Sunday. Traditionally, it was a day when children, mainly daughters who had gone to work as domestic servants were given a day off to visit their mother and family. Today, however, it is a day when children give presents, cards and flowers. Mother's Day is on the 18th March this year.

On Sunday 26th February from 11am to 4pm, Gordon the Gorilla and his team will be helping children to decorate 100% cotton shopping bags using stencil designs. Mad Bluey the clown will also be making flower and animal shaped balloons for grandparents, mums, dads and the children.

All activities are free for members of The Grafton Children's club, and there is no fee to join. Members receive a membership card, a free gift every time they attend The Grafton Children's Club and regular newsletters and email updates on activities and events as well as a special gift if you attend five Grafton Children's Clubs.

Members of The Grafton Children's Club also receive 40% discount at Burger King in The Grafton, Cambridge, children can eat for 99p at Debenhams Style Cafe at The Grafton, Cambridge and members can also get a free babyccino from Costa Coffee in The Grafton, Cambridge.

The children's entertainments are not a supervised play scheme and parents are requested to stay with their children and join in the fun.
