After many years of making melodies in her bedroom, Cambridge-based Jess Lee decided it was time to captivate the world through her thoughtful tunes and delicate, lovely lyrics. Influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Brooke Fraser and the Civil Wars, Jess’ debut EP ‘Out of Dust’ was released at the start of this year and her lead single ‘Arms Wide Open’ was named pick of the uploader on BBC Music Introducing in Cambridgeshire.

Pyramid Park

Pyramid Park released their debut album Vulnerability in September 2017, seeing the album reach number 1 in the UK Christian & Gospel iTunes chart.  The album has since been named album of the week on Life FM, Switzerland, and NED FM, Netherlands, with plenty of airplay across the UK and beyond.  Spotify have picked up songs adding to their official Indie Spirit & Modhymns playlists, with Free CCM (USA) choosing another track Born To Be Brave to be their free download of the month. 

 

2018 has seen Pyramid Park play 16 festivals from New Zealand’s Festival One right through to Germany’s FreakStock Festival with plenty of UK and Europe dates in-between. On top of this Vocalzone (the vocal pastels) have recently endorsed Pyramid Park.

The Mixies

A half-Indian brother-sister duo (actually one whole Indian in total if you think about it) from Cambridge who spent part of their childhoods growing up in India, where as well as building up a high tolerance for spice, they became influenced by Bollywood culture and music. Their songs, a fusion of Western and Indian popular music, are presented through a simple but tasteful combination of guitar, ukulele and vocals.

Jonny Desai

Jonny Desai is a multi-instrumentalist composer and producer from Cambridge. He grew up in India and draws from his cultural heritage for some inspiration. He was initially trained on classical guitar, though after getting through all the grades he discovered he was more suited to improvising and began learning jazz. Piano also became a large interest, and adding electronic elements to his works was a key discovery in establishing his own sound. His extensive use of tape loops and delays combined with haunting vocals creates a vivid sonic atmosphere.

We are “The Blonde and The Beard” an acoustic duo made to create fun vibrant covers of all genres of music to perform at Weddings, Birthdays and Events! We have been performing together now for just over two years, we got together completely on a whim for a friend’s wedding and since then we have been booked for weddings and events since and we have never looked back. With myself and Carl (the beard) being completely self-taught performers we have a huge passion for what we do and we have fun! We adore performing, he is definitely the cool cat of the duo and I am the bubbly blonde with a victory roll!
