Grafton Kids are Keen on Green

As part of the regular Grafton Kid's club activities, children were invited on Sunday 29 August to take part in some free ‘eco’ themed craft activities.

Children had the opportunity to decorate a 100% cotton pencil case, just in time to take back to school.  Children were also able to meet 'The Nutty Professor' who gave lessons on the art of silliness.   Both the entertainment and craft activities were free, and children who took part received a complimentary wooden safari animal pen - perfect for school.

‘During this month's KId's Club, we wanted to give children the chance to create some green-themed crafts.  The pencil cases were great, not only were they made of Fair Trade cotton, but the children can fill them with pens and pencils when they go back to school in September, one less thing for parents to pay out for at this expensive time of year.’  commented Michael Wiseman, Centre Director, The Grafton.

'My daughter looks forward to the club event at The Grafton every month", says local mum, Maria Nowshadi, "not only does she love Gordon the Gorilla, but she really enjoys the chance to make some wonderful arts and crafts."

The activity is FREE for children to participate in, and takes place at The Grafton on the last Sunday of every month.
